3 Ways IMGE Invests In Our Employees

IMGE hires the best. Then we invest in them to make them even better.

Announcements Culture

IMGE is on a mission to create a culture of learning. We want our staff to constantly broaden their skillset, ask big questions, deepen their knowledge, and add new tools to their toolbelts.

That’s why we spend more than $28,000 per year on training and education.

We pride ourselves on hiring the best talent in the business. By investing in their continued education, we’re keeping those rockstar employees engaged and enabling them to grow within our company. Everyone wins!

Want to know what that looks like in practice? Here’s a look at how we invest in employee training and continuing education here at IMGE.

We Adopted a Learning Management System

By far, the most valuable resource we have for employee training and education is our learning management system – WorkRamp.

WorkRamp is an all-in-one tool that offers a wide array of options:

  • Searchable resource libraries,
  • Interactive challenges and quizzes,
  • And pathways that link together these resources into comprehensive employee training programs.

WorkRamp has enabled us to create an educational hub completely customized to our unique needs as a digital-first marketing agency. It’s a living resource that evolves with our company. To date, we have 1,772 pieces of training content in WorkRamp…and we aren’t slowing down any time soon.

The digital landscape is constantly changing, so accurate materials last year could be incorrect today. With WorkRamp, we can edit in real-time as new marketing policies, ad specs, or platform restrictions are announced. Goodbye, clunky, outdated training and SOPs, and hello to updated information!

WorkRamp has also streamlined and expedited our personnel onboarding process. Unlike other firms where they hand you a laptop and say “good luck” on your first day, IMGE built out a comprehensive WorkRamp onboarding pathway that takes a new hire from zero to autonomously executing client work in just a few short weeks.

Cross-training staff members is easier than ever with WorkRamp, and we can now create personalized progression pathways for staff promotions.

While a learning management system like WorkRamp comes with an upfront cost on a per-user basis, it is well worth the investment to have such a robust educational tool that every one of your employees can utilize.

We Take Advantage of Online Courses and Certifications

But we don’t limit ourselves to internal trainings – here’s how we incorporate external trainings and certifications, too.

Need to learn how to code? Codecademy has got you covered.  Want to become an ad wizard? Hop over to Google Classroom. Ready to take your task management skills to the next level? Look no further than Asana Academy. Live and breathe social media? There’s a Sprout Social Certification for that.

If you are looking for courses that cover various topics or industries instead of honing a specific skill, then Skillshare, Coursera, or Udemy might be a good fit.

And don’t forget about the largest online learning tool – YouTube. There’s a how-to video for just about everything these days. And the best part? It’s completely free and constantly updated with new resources.

We Send Staff Members to Relevant Panels or Conferences

We think that to be the best, you must learn from the best. That’s why IMGE encourages – and pays for- staff members to attend panel discussions, roundtables, and conferences.

Employees get to hear from and network with industry experts, and we get the benefit of their newfound expertise. There’s always a new trend, tool, or service we walk away with – just ask our staff members who attended Iterable’s Activate Conference and Social Media Week LA. And hey, what’s not to love about a free trip with some of the coolest coworkers around?
